1. I get an "operation not supported" error when adding a new access control entry. What's wrong?

Most likely, you need to enable extended security support for the volume on which the folder resides. See "Enabling and Disabling Extended Security Support" for instructions.

2. I enabled/disabled ACLs on a volume by accident! Is there undo in this thing?

Enabling or disabling extended security for a volume does not alter the actual ACLs of folders on the volume. You can turn the functionality on and off without harming anything. If you accidentally disabled extended security, simply enable it again, and vice-versa.

3. I added a new entry, but it isn't working for the items in the folder. Why doesn't it behave?

You may not have enabled the "Apply to This Folder" flag when creating up the entry. By default, new entries have all four inheritance boxes checked, but there's always the possibility of disabling a flag accidentally. You can edit the entry to enable the flag if necessary. See "Making Changes to Entries" for instructions.
