I get the need for opaqueness when it comes to telling the average user what's been changed in a software update. I do. I really, really do. It's too easy for most users to misinterpret a developer's release notes for a particular update, and showing those details can oftentimes result in confusion amongst your user base. (Don't believe me? Feed the average Apple Discussions thread a sliver of fact and watch them fuck it up royally.)
